Alex Rodriguez Park Goes to the Dogs

March 7, 2011

Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami baseball team returns to Coral Gables on Tuesday, March 8, taking on Illinois State at Alex Rodriguez Park beginning at 6 p.m. Not only will the gates be open for UM fans, but they will also open the gates for everyone’s favorite four-legged friends for the First Annual Bark in the Park Night.

Fans are encouraged to bring their dog(s) to the park and share a night with their pet(s). While all fans will need a ticket, any dog will receive free admission to the game.

All dogs will need to be leashed for the duration of the game, and owners must show proof of current vaccinations upon entrance to the stadium. All dogs and owners should enter Alex Rodriguez Park through either the left or right field entrance gates. Dogs and owners will have a special assigned seating section located in the right field bleachers. There will be a grassy dog walking area and watering station available near the right field seating area.

Ticket prices for the game start at just $10. Tickets prior to Tuesday night’s affair can be purchased at the UM Athletic Ticket Office located just inside the Hecht Athletic Center on the UM campus. Ticket hours of operation are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets the day of the game can be purchased at the Alex Rodriguez ticket box office in front of the main entrance.
