Complete listing of Athletic Director’s Honor Roll
CORAL GABLES, Fla.—A total of 183 University of Miami student-athletes have earned the distinction of being named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2010 spring and fall semesters, the University of Miami announced Wednesday.
The returning student-athletes will be recognized with a ceremony at halftime of the men’s basketball game versus North Carolina on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
Among those honored is Bianca Eichkorn, a senior on the women’s tennis team who is a two-time All-America performer on the court as well as 2010 Academic All-America selection by ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA. She is three-time member of the All-ACC Academic Team, including being named the 2010 ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year for women’s tennis.
Volleyball junior Lane Carico, a three-time All-ACC performer and a third-team 2010 AVCA All-American, Brittany Viola, the 2008 NCAA diving champion, women’s track and field All-American Tameka Jameson and 2010 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American E.J. Encinosa headline the list.
The list of honored student-athletes features 11 baseball players, four men’s basketball players, a women’s basketball player, 11 men’s and 14 women’s cross country runners, 19 football student-athletes, four women’s golfers, 17 rowers, 15 women’s soccer players, 20 women’s swimmers and divers, 22 spirit team members, three men’s and six women’s tennis players, 10 men’s and 13 women’s track and field participants and 13 volleyball players.
To be eligible for the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, student-athletes must earn a 3.2 semester grade point average (GPA) or higher.
