University of Miami to Host 2010 Compliance Summit

Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami is set to host the 2010 Florida Compliance Summit, playing host to all NCAA Division I institutions in the state of Florida. The event begins Monday, July 19, continuing through Tuesday, July 20, on the campus of the University of Miami in Coral Gables.

With the summit defunct for the past few years, the University of Miami has brought it back this year. Approximately 35 participants have been confirmed for the affair at this point, with almost all Division I schools in Florida set to attend.

“We are very excited to host the 2010 Florida Compliance Summit, and I anticipate a productive session,” said David Reed, UM Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.

Also in attendance will be representatives from the NCAA, the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
