Hurricanes Golf Hosts Qdoba Invitational

The University of Miami women’s golf team will host its first tournament of the spring season with the Qdoba Invitational from Sun., Feb. 15, through Tues., Feb. 17, at Don Shula’s Golf Resort in Miami Lakes.

 

Fourteen teams are slated to compete as Augusta State, Georgia State, Illinois State, Louisville, Mercer, USF, Tulane, NC State, Memphis, Oklahoma City University, UNC Greensboro, Washington St., James Madison join Miami in the three-day tournament.

 

Competition will begin on Sunday with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m., followed by 12:30 p.m. shotgun start on Monday and an 8 a.m. start on Tuesday.

                                      

The Hurricanes are led by freshman Jennifer Hirano, who put together a team-best 76.17 stroke average over four tournaments in the fall. Sophomore Christina Hirano also got off to a strong start in her collegiate campaign in the fall, with a 77.42 stroke average.
