Hurricanes Complete ACC Championships

Men’s Results
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of Miami men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the ACC Cross Country Championships, hosted by the University of North Carolina, Saturday morning. Both teams raced to a 12th place finish in the season’s final meet.
The women got things underway at 10 a.m. with their 5K race. Freshman Anna Bona led Miami with a time of 23:38.7. She was followed by sophomores Emma Steppe (23:40.0) and Katharine Woodard (24:11.2). In her final cross country meet senior Ena Leufroy crossed the finish line at 24:31.7. The final two spots for the Hurricanes went to freshman Page Price and sophomore Monika Freiser.
For the second straight race, Andrew Chuplis ran a season-best time in leading the men’s team. This week he ran a time of 26:58.0. Senior Tim Harris, running in his final collegiate event, tied his best team finish of the season, coming in second at 27:40.8.
Jules Rosen ran his season-best time as the third finisher on the team at 28:06.4. Ryan Woodlee crossed the line at 28:24.1. He was followed by Vincent Giambanco, Michael Viklund and Eric Miller
Virginia’s Ryan Foster led his team to an ACC Championship as he took the individual title with a time of 24:27.7. For the women, Susan Kjijken won the individual title in leading the Florida State Seminoles to the championship.
