Hurricane Cross Country Concludes Action at ACC Championships

Coral Gables, FLA (www.hurricanesports.com) — – The University of Miami men’s and women’s cross country teams wrapped up competition at the 2007 ACC Cross Country Championships Saturday morning with a pair of 12th-place finishes at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va.

Junior Ryan Woodlee posted the men’s fastest time of the day, crossing with a time of 26.37.7 to finish 73rd.

Senior Alex Paley placed 76th with a time of 26.46.3 while junior Andrew Chuplis (27.47.9), junior Vincent Giambanco (28.00.0), freshman Greg Grosicki (28.18.8) and junior Eric Miller (28.29.1) took 88th through 91st place, respectively.

On the women’s side, senior Delia Phlatts paced the Hurricanes with a time of 24.07.6 en route to a 74th-place finish.

Junior Ena Leufroy took 84th place with a time of 25.04.3 followed by freshmen Caitlin Knapp (25.55.0), Katherine Woodard (26.17.7), Jackie Sullivan (26.58.3) and junior Anika Arevalo (28.40.2) who rounded out the field.
