DaSilva to Take Part in Texas Roadhouse Carolina Classic

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. –

The <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>University of Miami men’s track and field heptathlete, Roland DaSilva will take part in his first multi event of 2008 at the University of North Carolina.

The meet kicks off at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 and continues the following day.

DaSilva is an all-ACC performer in the heptathlon, finishing third in the ACC Indoor Championships in 2007.

DaSilva is will not be competing in all ten events, but will be focusing on his weaker events in preparation for the 2008 conference championships.

The senior will join the rest of his team next week at the ACC Challenge in Blacksburg, Va. on the campus of Virginia Tech.
