Miami, winners of two straight for the first time this season will be facing their second ranked in No. 12 Duke. The Hurricane offense struggled through the first 13 games of the season, scoring only 59.3 points per game and shooting just over 36 percent from the field. However, the last two games have shown the offensive explosiveness that the `Canes possess, as they averaged 89 points and shot a sizzling 57 percent.
UM looks to stay hot and make a splash in the ACC and win against a ranked-opponent for the first time since defeating Virginia Tech, two seasons ago.
A Look at Duke
Duke the No. 12 ranked team in the nation takes their six-game win streak into Coral Gables for their conference opener.
Chante Black leads the Blue Devils with 13.7 points per game through 14 games, she is one of three Duke players averaging double-figures along with Abby Waner (11.7) and Joy Cheek (10.3).
The Series
The University of Miami is 0-3 all-time against the Blue Devils and look to pick up their first victory against the perennial power.
The last meeting between the two belonged to Duke 72-42, in the 2007 ACC opener for both teams.
