Phlatts Named ACC Cross Country Performer of the Week

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Senior Delia Phlatts of the University of Miami women’s cross country team has been named the ACC Cross Country Performer of the Week as announced Tuesday by league offices.

Phlatts, a native of Silver Springs, Md., paced the Hurricanes to the overall team title at this past weekend’s flrunners.com Invitational in Titusville, Fla.

Miami’s top-performer in each of the past eight competitions dating back to last season, she finished the 5,000-meter race with a time of 18:47.73, shaving 31 seconds off her previous best performance of the season.

Phlatts and the Hurricanes return to action Saturday, traveling to Furman, S.C. to compete at the Furman Invitational.
