Harris Takes 800-Meter ACC Outdoor Title for Second-Straight Year

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Junior Tim Harris claimed his second-straight ACC Outdoor and fourth-consecutive conference title in the 800-meters Saturday to lead the University of Miami men’s track and field team at the 2007 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Jumping out to an early lead through the first turn Harris maintained first place throughout the 800-meters while holding off Virginia Tech’s Billy Berlin to win his second-consecutive ACC Outdoor Championship with a time of 1:49.29.

Miami freshmen Les Bradley and Cory Nelms took fifth and sixth place in the 110-meter hurdles with times of 14.42 and 14.47 seconds, respectively.

As a team, Miami placed 10th overall at the three-day event with a combined 30 points.
