Miami Closes Out Day One of ACC Golf Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Led by senior Tiffany Prats first-round 80, the University of Miami women’s golf team wrapped up first-round action of the 2007 ACC Women’s Golf Championships in eighth place overall Friday at Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, N.C.

The UM contingent combined to fire a 325 during Monday’s first round placing them in eighth place after 18 holes.

Prat sits at 31st overall followed by sophomore Anabelle Paulino and junior Hagen Weintraub who are tied at 32nd with opening round 81’s.

Second round action is slated to begin Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.
