Dreyer Captures All-American Honors at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

Minneapolis, Minn. – Junior diver Jenna Dreyer garnered All-American honors after earning the bronze medal on the one-meter springboard finals Thursday evening at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Minnesota Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

Dreyer will be taking home her second All-American honor after posting a score of 350.55 in the finals to finish third in the women’s one-meter competition. With the finish, Miami 16 points toward the team score. Earlier in the day, she also had a stand-out performance where she finished second in the preliminaries with a score 345.60.

Senior Heather Bounds earned ALL-American honorable mention after she finished 16th place in the finals with a score 297.50.

The Hurricanes resume action at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships today with the 3-meter springboard. Preliminaries begin at 11:00 a.m. CT followed by finals at 7:00 p.m. CT.
