Hurricanes Fall 60-55 at Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Led by sophomore center Brittany Denson’s 14, four Miami players scored double figures in a 60-55 loss at Michigan Sunday afternoon at Crisler Arena.
The Hurricanes (7-2) were limited to just four assists while the Michigan pressure (6-3) forced 24 turnovers to snap Miami’s four-game win streak.
Junior center Carla Williams registered her first career double-double off the bench, scoring 11 points with a team-high 11 rebounds.
After trailing 22-11, Miami used a 12-0 run to head into the half down two, 29-27.
The Hurricanes opened the second half with a 13-4 run to take a 40-33 lead with under 14 minutes remaining. Michigan responded by outscoring Miami 27-15 over the remainder of the game to take the 60-55 victory.
Miami returns to south Florida Tuesday, traveling across town to take on Florida International at Pharmed Arena at 7:30 p.m.
