Asprilla Signs With Hurricanes

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – Head men’s basketball coach Frank Haith announces the signing of Freddy Asprilla to a national letter of intent to attend the University of Miami next fall.

Asprilla (6-10, 260), who moved to Miami from Colombia, will attend Miami Calusa Prep this season. He is rated as the No. 18 center prospect in the nation and the No. 12 player in Florida by Rivals.com.

Asprilla is the third player to sign with Miami during the early signing period joining 6-0 guard Edwin Rios (Miami Senior) and 6-9 forward Julian Gamble (Durham, N.C.).
