Harris, Leggett Move Up Trackwire Rankings

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami sophomores Tim Harris (Miami Booker T. Washington) and Lance Leggett (Bartow, Fla.) both moved up one spot in their respective events in the latest Trackwire event rankings.

Harris moved from sixth to fifth in this week’s 800-meter rankings while Leggett moved up to seventh in the 110-meter hurdle rankings.

Harris, a 2006 indoor All-American, won both the ACC indoor and outdoor titles in the 800-meters this season. Leggett has been a pleasant surprise this season winning the 400-meter hurdles and placing second in the 110-meter hurdles at the ACC outdoor championships. During the indoor season he garnered All-ACC honors with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles.

The men’s track and field team returns to action, May 12-13, at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The NCAA East Regional will be held, May 26-27, in Greensboro, N.C. The NCAA Championships will be June 7-10 in Sacramento, Calif.
