Men's Track and Field Heads to Penn Relays

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s track and field team is traveling to Philadelphia, Pa. to participate in the 112th running of the Penn Relays.

Penn Relays is one of the largest events in the track and field calendar with competition spanning the globe. This year, during some 33 hours of competition on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, more than 425 races will be run, an average of more than one race every five minutes.
The Hurricanes recently competed at the ACC Championships and all-American Tim Harris won the 800 meter dash and All-ACC Lance Leggett won the 400 hurdles and placed second in the 110 hurdles. Harris is now ranked sixth in the 800 meters in the Dandy Dozen, while Leggett is ranked eighth in the 110 hurdles.
