Miami Lakes, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – For the 22nd consecutive year and the 23rd in the 36-year history of the tournament, the University of Miami will host the RYDER/Florida Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship, March 31-April 2, at Don Shula’s Golf Club and Resort in Miami Lakes, FL.

Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday with all players going off the first tee. Saturday will be a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Sunday’s final round will be an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. Admission is free.

The tournament features the best women’s collegiate golf in Florida, as 12 schools from the state come together for three rounds to determine the state champion. Miami won last season’s state title defeating South Florida and Florida State by one stroke.

This season’s championship will feature five Division I teams ranked among the top-80 teams in the nation including No. 34. Florida State, No. 57 South Florida, No. 69 Miami, No. 70 Florida International and No. 78 UCF.

Also competing this weekend will be Rollins College, the three-time defending NCAA Division II National Champion and the current No. 1 ranked team in the nation in Division II. Several other top ranked Division II programs will be competing including No. 2 Florida Southern, No. 3 Lynn and No. 6 Barry.

Rounding out the field are Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville, and Stetson.
