Hurricanes Finish Competition at UNC Fast Times Meet

Chapel Hill, N.C. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s track and field team completed the second day at the University of North Carolina Fast Times Meet in Chapel Hill, N.C. Sophomore Tim Harris won the 800 meter run for the second meet in a row, finishing in 1:51.37.

Junior Roland DaSilva started out the day third in the heptathalon, and did not change places completing the final three events, finishing with a point total of 4705.

Freshman Elan Daviglus took third place in the high jump, with a mark of 2.03m (6-08.00) , his best on the year.

Football players sophomores Lance Leggett and Andrew Johnson made a successful debut with Leggett making the finals in the 60 meter dash and the 60 meter hurdles, while Johnson made the finals in the 60 meter hurdles.

The Hurricanes return to action on February 11, in Boston, Mass. at the St. Valentine’s Day Invite.
