Men's Basketball Faces Morgan State on Saturday

The University of Miami men’s basketball team will take on Morgan State this Saturday, November 18 in its home opener beginning at 2 p.m. at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables.
Miami (2-1) is coming off a third-place finish this past week at the BCA Classic in Seattle, Wash.
Preseason first-team All-ACC selection Guillermo Diaz (Carolina, Puerto Rico) was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging 16.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 15-31 (.484) from the field including 7-17 (.412) from three-point range.
Senior Robert Hite (Cincinnati, Ohio) averaged 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and a team-high 3.0 steals per game at the tournament including a 17 point effort in Miami’s 80-54 consolation game win over Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Miami received strong post play from junior forward Anthony King (Durham, N.C.) who averaged 11.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
Morgan State enters Saturday’s game with a 0-3 record following an eighth-place finish at the BCA Classic.
The Bears were led by sophomore forward Andrew Lee who led the team in scoring averaging 12.7 points per game during the three-day tournament. He also pulled down 4.0 rebounds per contest to rank second on the team.
Morgan State struggled offensively in Seattle shooting just 35.6 percent (63-177) from the field, including 24.1 percent (7-29) from three-point range, and averaged 26.3 turnovers per game. The Bears, however, did hit their free throws connecting on 72 percent (18-25) as a team.
