Wildcat Fall Invitational Up Next For Women's Golf

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team will compete at the 2005 University of Kentucky Wildcat Fall Invitational, October 1-2, at the University Club in Lexington, Ky.
The Hurricanes will face a stellar field which includes nine of the top-100 teams in the nation. Miami, ranked No. 91 in the nation by Golfweek, will battle No. 32 Florida, No. 34 Kentucky, No. 37 Birmingham-Southern, No. 45 North Carolina, No. 60 East Carolina, No. 61 Mississippi State, No. 89 Richmond and No. 99 Memphis.
Rounding out the 15 team field will be Alabama-Birmingham, Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, UNC-Greensboro and Southern Mississippi.
The tournament will be played at the 6,150 yard, par 72 University Club. Teams will play 36 holes on Saturday, followed by 18 holes on Sunday. Mississippi State captured the team title last season, while Mississippi State junior Amanda Mathis returns to defend the individual championship she won last year.
