Hurricane Volleyball Set for First-Ever Alumni Match

CORAL GABLES, <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team will cap off their preseason training with an alumni match on Saturday, August 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the Knight Sports Complex.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

The Hurricanes, who on Tuesday took part in a four-game intrasquad scrimmage, will compete against eight former players in a best-out-of-five match.

The returning alumni include: Mallorey James, Marcela Gamarra, Christina Hernandez, Ashley Youngs, Leyre Santaella Sante, Kristi Sprinkel, Robin Lewullis, Carrie Frash and Jamie Grass.

The alumni match is open to both students and the general public.
