Miller Misses Cut At US Open

Cherry Hills, Colorado (hurricanesports.com) – Former University of Miami golfer Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) recorded a two-round total of 177 to miss the cut at the 2005 US Women’s Open at Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills, Colorado.

Miller, making her second consecutive trip to the US Women’s Open, recorded a second round 83 bettering her opening round score by 11 strokes. Miller’s round included birdies on holes 10 and 17.

Miller, who won seven collegiate tournaments as a member of the UM golf team, qualified for the US Open by recording scores of 72-73 (145) at the Sectional Qualifying Tournament, June 14, at Webster Golf Club and Ontario Golf Club, in Rochester, N.Y. Her score earned her low amateur honors.
