Harris, Berry Lead Men's Track Team

Durham, N.C. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami freshman Tim Harris (Miami Booker T. Washington) placed third in the 800-meters with a time of 1:51 and sophomore Tom Berry (Stanford, Conn.) finished fourth in the 1500-meters with a time of 3:57.22 to lead the Miami men’s track and field team at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C.
Freshman Casey McGinn (Orlando, Fla.) placed eighth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.55 meters (14-11.00). Sophomores Zach Castiglione (Brighton, Mich.) and Jon Scheiner (Katy, Texas) both ran well recording season-bests in the 5000-meters. Castiglione placed 63rd with a time of 15:15.03 while Scheiner finished 65th with a time of 15:17.01.
Freshman Louis Rich, Jr. finished 18th in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:35.25.
The Hurricanes return to action on April 16 at the Miami Gatorade Invitational at Cobb Stadium in Coral Gables.
