Hurricanes Conclude Second Day of Competition at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Freshman Tim Harris advanced to Saturday’s finals of the 800-meters with a time of 1:53.85 in Friday’s prelims as the University of Miami men’s track team wrapped up day two of competition at the 2005 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Harris’ time was his second-fastest of the season and the second-fastest time of the afternoon behind FSU’s Tommy Noyes, who crossed with a time of 1:53.49.
UM finished seventh overall in the distance medley with a total time of 10:17.90 and junior Alex Brutvan finished 18th in the finals of the 5000-meters with a time of 15:07.91.
The third and final day of competition of the 2005 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships conclude Saturday at the Eddie Smith Field House.
