Hurricanes Hold Final Scrimmage of the Spring

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team will hold their fourth and final scrimmage of this spring’s workouts Saturday, hosting Florida A&M and Miami-Dade CC at the Knight Sports Complex in a series of matches beginning at 9 a.m.

The Hurricanes will first take on FAMU at 9 a.m. in a two game match to 30 points each and return to play Miami-Dade in a similar format at 11 a.m. before returning in the afternoon to square off with the Rattlers at 1 p.m. and MDCC at 2:30 p.m. in a two-game match, with the first game going to the 30 points and the second game going to 15 points.

Miami has faced a number of team’s already this spring, hosting Alabama in Coral Gables, traveling to Gainesville to line up against Florida and South Carolina and taking on Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton in scrimmages.

Saturday’s scrimmages also mark then end of the sixth week of spring practice for the Hurricanes as they prepare for their inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
