Miller Places Fifth At ACC/SEC Challenge

Destin, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) fired a final round 69 to finish tied for fifth (74-72-69–215) at the Chrysler ACC/SEC Challenge at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.

As a team the Hurricanes finished tied for 11th with a three-round total of 909 (302-301-306). Top-ranked Duke won the team title with a score of 856 defeating second-ranked Auburn by one stroke.

Auburn’s Diana Ramage won the individual title with a three-round total of 206 (70-64-72).

The tournament marks the final competition of the fall season for the Hurricanes. Miami will return to action, Feb. 20-22, when they host the Papa John’s Collegiate at Don Shula’s Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, Fla.
