Women's Golf Travels To ACC/SEC Challenge

Destin, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami Women’s Golf Team will participate in the fifth-annual Chrysler ACC/SEC Challenge, October 29-31, at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
The event includes eight of the top-35 teams in the nation including top-ranked Duke. Other teams competing include No. 8 Auburn, No. 13 LSU, No. 19 Wake Forest, No. 22 Florida, No. 26 North Carolina State, No. 32 Mississippi State and No. 34 Virginia. Rounding out the impressive field is host Florida State, Alabama, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The tournament will be played on the par 71, 5,937 yard Raven Course. Each team will play from the first tee on Friday, and in shotgun starts on both Saturday and Sunday.
Miami has been led this season by senior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame). Miller has been the Hurricanes’ top finisher in two of three tournaments this season including her fifth career victory at the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational. Miller has a team-best 74.1 stroke average this season.
