Hurricanes Travel To Lady Paladin Invitational

Greenville, S.C. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team returns to action this weekend at the 34th Annual Lady Paladin Invitational, October 22-24, at the Furman Golf Course in Greenville, S.C.
The 54-hole tournament will begin Friday at 8:20 a.m., with rounds two and three set for 8:20 a.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The 23-team field includes seven of the top-38 ranked teams in the nation by Golfweek. Included in this weekend’s field are No. 2 ranked Auburn, No. 5 Georgia, No. 13 Florida, No. 19 Furman, No. 24 Mississippi State, No. 35 Michigan State and No. 38 Northwestern.
Also competing this weekend will be No. 57 TCU, No. 58 Coastal Carolina, No. 60 East Carolina, No. 61 College of Charleston, No. 62 UNC-Wilmington, No. 64 Louisville, No. 69 South Florida, No. 87 Florida State and No. 93 Minnesota. Rounding out the field is Appalachian State, Florida International, Memphis, UNC-Greensboro and Winthrop.
The individual field is also impressive with 19 of the top-100 golfers in the country competing.
Miami, ranked 63rd in the nation, has been led this season by senior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame). Miller, the 53rd ranked women’s golfer in the country, has finished in the top-7 of both tournaments this season including her fifth career victory at the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational, October 8-10.
The Hurricanes have placed second overall at both tournaments this season.
