Hurricanes to Compete at ACC Pre-Meet

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s cross country team returns to action at the ACC Pre-Meet on Saturday, September 25 at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Md.

Miami, ranked 12th in the South Region by the USCCCA, has been led this season by junior Alex Brutvan (Boca Raton, Fla.). Brutvan has been the Hurricanes top finisher at both meets this season and has recorded team-high finishes in nine consecutive races dating back to last season.

Last weekend Brutvan placed 15th overall to lead UM to a fourth-place finish out of 22 teams at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. In UM’s season opener on September 11th, he was the top collegiate finisher at the FIU Invitational leading the Hurricanes to a sweep of the event for the second straight season.

The men’s 8K race is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
