Women's Golf Finishes 13th At NCAA Regional

Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf recorded a final total of 319 to finish 13th with a three-round total of 938 at the NCAA East Regional Golf Championship at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.

The top eight teams and next two individuals advance to the NCAA Championship Finals, May 18-21, in Auburn, Alabama. Teams advancing from the East Regional include Duke (869), UNLV (891), North Carolina (892), Florida State (904), Wake Forest (906), Furman (907), Tennessee (918) and Oklahoma State (920).

Miami, which entered the Regional Championship as the 17th seed, was led by junior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) who recorded a 77 on Saturday to finish in a tie for 15th with a three-round total of 224.

North Carolina’s Meaghan Francella finished the three-round regional tournament with a seven-under-par 209 (69-71-69) to take individual honors. Adrienne Gautreaux (South Carolina) and Adrienne Millican (East Carolina) finished tied for ninth and advance to the NCAA Championship Finals as individuals.
