Miller Tied for Sixth after First Round of N.C. State Saguaro Classic

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s golf team finished the opening round of the N.C. State Saguaro Classic in sixth place with a 32-over par score of 312 after the first round Sunday at the Dell Urich Course in Tucson, Ariz.

Junior Tina Miller (Miami, Fla.) shot an opening round six-over par score of 76, shooting scores of 38 on both the front and back nine, to finish tied for sixth after the first round while teammate senior Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway) finished tied for 19th with a first round score of eight-over par at 78.

Senior Jazmin Cataldo (Asuncion, Paraguay) and freshman Tiffany Prats (Williston, Fla.) wrapped up day one tied for 23rd with opening round scores of 79 and UM junior Esther Lee (Mauldin, S.C.) finished with a first round score of 80.

Second round action is scheduled to begin on Monday, followed by Tuesday’s final round.
