Leyre Santaella Sante Receives Postseason Honors

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team’s Leyre Santaella Sante was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s (AVCA) All-Northeast Region team as an honorable mention selection on Wednesday.

The senior outside hitter from San Juan, Puerto Rico recorded 433 kills for a 3.97 per game average to help lead the Hurricanes to an overall record of 22-9 and a third-place finish in the BIG EAST conference. Santaella Sante also paced UM with 41 service aces on the season and earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors.
