UM Diving Closes the Camo Invitational with a Solid Performance

MONTREAL, CANADA – Junior Miguel Velazquez (Mexico City, Mexico) turned in an eleventh place finish on Sunday in the finals of the men’s platform for the University of Miami diving team to wrap up the fourth and final day of the Camo Invitational in Montreal, Canada.

Velazquez recorded a score of 366.57 in the preliminaries before turning in a score of 372.03 in the finals of the competition to finish eleventh. Alexander Despatie took top honors with a score of 500.91 while former UM diver Kyle Prandi finished seventh with a score of 385.11.

The Hurricanes will take a break before returning to the pool on Jan. 2 to host Rutgers at 4 p.m. at the Norman Whitten Pool in Coral Gables.
