Men's Cross Country Ranked 12th In South Region

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s cross country team remained 12th in the United States Cross Country Coaches Association South Region poll released Monday.
The Hurricanes finished second out of 17 schools at this weekend’s Hatter Cross Country Invitational in DeLand, Fla. Miami has finished in the top-3 of four of the five races this season, including victories at the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish Invitational and the FIU Invitational.
Miami has been led by sophomore Alex Brutvan (Boca Raton, Fla.). Brutvan has been the Hurricanes top finisher in every event this season including a victory at the FIU Invitational. He has finished among the top-7 runners in five of six races this season.The Hurricanes have also received strong performances from freshman Tom Berry (Stamford, Conn). Berry has been UM’s No. 2 finisher at every race this season including three top-5’s.
Miami returns to action at BIG EAST Cross Country Championships, October 31 at Van Cortland Park, N.Y.
