Four Hurricanes Qualify For BIG EAST 60-Meter Final

Syracuse, NY (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami, led by freshman Terrell Walden (Miami Edison) qualified four runners for the finals of the 60-meters at the BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships in Syracuse, NY.

Walden recorded the top qualifying time winning his heat in a time of 6.84. Sophomore Tanard Davis (Miami Southridge) and freshman Travarous Bain (Miami Northwestern) finished first (6.84) and second (6.84) in their heat to qualify for Sunday’s final. Sophomore Roscoe Parrish (Miami Senior) also reached the final with a time of 6.91.

Bain also qualified for the finals of the 200-meters posting a time of 21.86.

In the 60-meter hurdles senior Kenny Frank (Pomona, NY) recorded a preliminary time of 8.42 to advance to Sunday’s final.

In addition, junior Matt Mulvaney (South Hadley, MA) took 11th in the 5000-meters with a time of 15:02.41.
