UM Men's Travel To Syracuse For BIG EAST Championships

Syracuse, NY (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s track and field team looks to improve on its seventh-place finish last season when it travels to the BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships, February 22-23, in Syracuse, NY.

Senior Jabari Ennis, competing in his final conference indoor meet, will lead the Hurricanes. He is the Hurricanes’ top pole vaulter having recorded a mark of 5.05 meters (16-06.75). Aaron Bass has also qualified for the BIG EAST Championships with a mark of 4.90 meters (16-00.75).

The Hurricanes had five sprinters qualify in the 60-meters including Travarous Bain (6.87), Tanard Davis (6.87), Terrell Walden (6.90), Glen Sharpe (6.93) and Roscoe Parrish (6.99).

Bain and Sharpe have also qualified in the 200-meters along with Darnell Jenkins and Sean Taylor.

Matt Mulvaney qualified in the 5000-meters (14:54.29) while Ryan Moore will represent the Hurricanes in the triple jump (14.56 meters).
