Mulvaney Qualifies For Big East Championships

GAINESVILLE, FL (hurricanesports.com) – Junior Matt Mulvaney (SouthHadley, MA) finished second in the 5,000-meters with a BIG EAST indoorqualifying mark of 14:54 to highlight Sunday’s action at the GatorInvitational in Gainesville, FL.

The Hurricanes’ Glenn Sharpe (Carol City) recorded a time of 22.09in the 200-meters and also qualified for the BIG EAST Indoor Track and FieldChampionships, February 22-23, in Syracuse, NY.

Senior Jabari Ennis (Kingston, Jamaica), currently ranked No. 1 inthe BIG EAST in the pole vault, recorded a mark of 16-05.00, his second bestresult of the season.

The Gator Invitational marks the final tune-up for the Hurricanesbefore the BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships.
