From Jared S. Lighter: Santa Clara, CA: I was watching the game on ESPN in the gym. I was on the treadmill and when Darius hit the game-winner I shouted out in celebration. I think the other people in the gym thought I was crazy! Go Canes!

Daniel Escalante: Miami, FL: Thats the hurricane basketball I remember coach Perry and the boys playing. More aggressiveness as far as taking it to the hole is concerned. Only selected shots from the 3-point arc and more baseline setups for James Jones. Keep Vato (Berumen)on the floor a lot more minutes. Start Kite a whole lot more. That boy got some serious upsssss.

Joe Miller: Gainesville.Fla : The new Conv. center has already begun to be a factor in the Canes’ success. Great game by all the TEAM.

jason machen: gardendale tx : i was for sure we would lose, but i really dont consider this an “upset”, or a “stunning” win. we have been uconn’s thorn in the side for a couple of years now! we are slowly on the way up, perry is getting us there, and its only a matter of time before we are a top tier team in hoops!!!!(just like baseball & football) GO CANES!!!!!!!!

Linda Young: Cincinnati, Ohio: The game was phenonmenal. They played the best defense I’ve seen all year and they played an all around game. Need more passing and team work however. Of course I’m partial to Rob Hite “FLIGHT” that dunk was sensational with an added touch of charisma. That steal was like speed racer going around the track. Good game Rob. Darius has a gift of shooting and that’s great. All the players played to their fullest capacity. The crowd was loud and that’s good. That really motivates the players. Keep the momentum up guys and keep an attitude to play. Don’t settle for nothing less but team work and a heart to win with a strong attitude to conquer like the gladiators.

antonio abraham: Miami FL : Darius Rice was unstopable scoring career high 43 pts coming up with steal and hitting game winning 3pt basket with 00:5 tenths of second remaining. UM Fans stormed court as final buzzer sounded defeating #8 ranked UConn huskies at home avenging 83-80 overtime lost on 1/11/03.

Frank Hermansen: Vista, California: All of San Diego County heard me yelling at the top of my lungs after this great win! For some reason I sensed the game was not over, and stayed till the closing seconds-not something we are known for here in Southern California- and am I glad I did.

The new Center looks wonderful on TV, it will bring more talent to this growing program. Great win over a fine team.
