– Dawn Heist: Tucson ,Azyou guys are still #1 i think and they cheated yu guys out im sorry but you will win it next year go undefeated next year and win th championship i love you guys.Miami is my #1 always and forever.

Nancy Miller: Akron, Ohio: Dear Canes,I live in Akron, Ohio but having grown up three blocks from the U. of Miami, I love my Canes and am not a Buckeye fan. It’s heartbreaking that you lost. I wish the first half had ended three minutes earlier. Then there never would have been a question as to the official’s call. But I felt for sure you would come back in the second half. You did against FSU and Rutgers and you almost pulled this one out.I am still furious that one Big 12 official who had already been involved in controversy twice was allowed on the field. His call of a phantom interference charge cost you the game and he should be fired and never allowed on a football field again. Why on earth they didn’t choose the top officials in the country for this game is beyond me.This is the second game this season that the Buckeyes stole. The first was against Illinois. Now we all know where the Irish luck went.Willis, please get well soon. Just pay attention to rehab and you’ll be back – hopefully by mid season I am so proud of you and Ken being among the five Heisman choices.

Dr. Guillermo Diaz: Miami, FL: As a Miami Alumnus and Hurricane Fan I want to thank you for all thewonderful moments you’ve given us for the past 3 years. Keep your heads upbecause you have nothing to be ashamed of. You are the best team inthe Nation and one of the best in Football College History. I’m proud of youand proud of being a ‘Cane!Sincerely,Guillermo Diaz, Ph.D.Go Canes!

Luis Herrera: Brownsville,Texas: Well I guess the hater’s got what they wanted, but we Cane’s fans know who won the Championship game. The Cane’s are number one.

erick valdez: miami, florida: congrats on a good season…….here hoping on a good 2003 season…..but guys……u have got to learn to not ever dumb down to the opponents level..aka play careless ball…other than that i got no complaints,,,go caneserick

ELLEN CULLUM: FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA.: TO THE TEAM: I’ve enjoyed watching the Miami Hurricanes since I was just a kid. Years and years ago I became a fan. There have been lots of tough times, but a true fan stays through good and bad. My husband of 5 + years didn’t watch college football when we met. The only way he could spend time with me on Saturdays then was if he wanted to watch the Hurricanes. He has become as big a Hurricane fan ( if not bigger) as I am. We watch the games from home and tailgate in our living room. This Hurricane team (and last years) has much such a big impression on us in the way that you men carry yourselves. Your love of the game and more importantly your love of your team and your school is truly something that makes me proud to be a Hurricane fan. I LOVE THE ‘CANES AND I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! THANKS FOR THE SEASON. TO KEN DORSEY… You are amazing!! I remember the first time I saw you. It was in the Va. Tech. game. I thought you were the waterboy. Boy was I wrong!. You came out and proved that you were the man for the job. I have seen every college game that you have played and I have LOVED every minute of it. You have made this Hurricane Fan so very proud to be one. I wish you health, happiness and success in the future. I don’t watch much pro ball but where ever you go, you can be sure that that team will gain 2 new fans. Thanks for all the Saturdays (and late Thursday nights when I stayed up to watch the games only to have to be up at 4:30 for work!!) and all the great memories.. I’m sorry for the loss of the game, but I’m more sorry to be losing you from the Hurricanes.. with much respect, Sincerely, Ellen Cullum.

Mark Hepler: Covington, Va: First of all I’d like to say the top of this page should say Nat’l Champs 2000, 2001, and 2002; however, the voters got us in 2000 and the refs did it this year! Bogus calls on the 4th and 14 (non-call) and the pass-interference. I also wonder why OSU got the ball on the 1 after the pass-interference, and we got the ball on the 2 after they interfered??Anyway, good luck to Willis – we all hope to see him back soon.Good luck to the team next year, and thank you to all of our seniors who will be moving on.P.S. – if you are wondering how someone from the Mountains of VA came to be a UM fan ..I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale and was a regular Orange Bowl attendant for the first 15 years of my life. GO CANES!

Tim Allen: Franklinton N.C.: Well once again the NCAA doesn’t want Miami on top so they call the game in Ohio’s favor. I just wish the officals would be more honest and fair in calling plays. You are #1 and don’t let anyone tell you different !! Ohio das a great defense but we played better than then ! Their’s a CANE over here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. i hope Mcgee is getting better ! We are the CHAMPIONS !! We showed in our sportsmanship !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Donahue Family: Cortlandt Manor N.Y.: We salute the true victors of the Fiesta bowl, My son Ryan is a senior at UM and we have had the pleasure to attend several Hurricane games over the past 4 years. Heros are born from adversity. UM will return strong and dedicated again next fall. Those who have given so much and are now leaving Miami will be an asset to the work force or NFL. Go Canes!!!!

mike plaso: weirton, wv: great job on another great year. best wishes to all the seniors. wishing willis a speedy recovery prayers are out to him!! keep up the great work in the off season, us fans expect to see you in the hunt for another title.go canes.

Debbie Kirby: Pompano Beach, Florida: To the entire team and especially the seniors I want to say it has been my pleasure to watch you over the last years. Hold your heads up high. Inside each of those jerseys BEATS THE HEART OF A WINNER ! You have been and will always be Champions. To the seniors: as you go on with the rest of your lives whether you are playing on Sunday’s or fulfilling some other dream you will always know that you have been to the mountain top and that YOU ARE THE BEST. To you guys that are coming back next year you to also are WINNERS! I am sure that you will continue to carry the winning tradition and the class that the Hurricanes have shown into the future. I grew up in the midwest on football in Ohio and I am proud to say, (and hope everyone else feels like this) that, I’M PROUD TO BE A MIAMI HURRICANE !!!!!!!! Each of you have contributed to that feeling. One last thing to Kenny Dorsey, it took a lot of guts to get up off the ground and come back into that last set of plays. !You had to be in pain and your head somewhat foggy but you gave it everything in you. Others may say things but I hope that you never doubt your heart. You are a Champion and a Winner and I am proud to have watched you over the years. What a player and a gentleman. (If you feel bad just look at the Pro games over the weekend and it will all fall into prospective.) GO CANES……”It’s A Canes Thing” you know!

Dean Springer: Palm Springs, California: Hey Guys, First of all, I just wanted to say hey to all of you…I am a loyal fan out here in Cali, and i’m looking forward to the National Championship game in New Orleans, and I know that the University of Miami will be there, making their comeback. With Brock Berlin at QB, and Frank Gore at the starting TB position, I can’t wait. As long as you guys stick together, and play like the champions that you deserve to be, you will be fine. Looking forward to watching you play, Dean Springer

Brandon Thomas2City : Dublin, Georgia: Dear Miami boys,

Man ya’ll played hard this entire year. Don’t worry homeboys ya’ll going back you best to believe that. Just keep ya’ll heads up practice hard and study hard and ya’ll will be back in less than 3 years.

Bill Keltner: Rosenberg, Texas: The Miami Hurricanes are #1 in my heart. The fans know that you were robbed. You have always been and will always be my favorite team. Even more than all the professional teams. Thats includes NASCAR. You are #1. We will just have to go spank Ohio State next year and prove that we are a whole lot better than they are. Tell Willis McGahee to get well soon and my thoughts are with him. I had an injury like that that ended my football career. Good luck to him and a speedy recovery. GOOOO HURRICANES!!!

Joe Hoon: Wilmington, DE: To the 24 – 17 (final score) national champs, can’t wait to see ya next year.

mike kealy: weston, fl: well congradgulations on a another great year. although the team came up a little short in the end theres always next year. you guys have the best talent as a team ive seen in a long time. i love watching you guys on saturdays and its great to hear that you guys are nice people as well as great athletes. thank you for everything you’ve done for south florida, the University of Miami, and college football. good luck next year

Tom Heath: Vero Beach, FL: What a great season and what a great game!!!!! Hold your heads high and press on!!! You have one of the most remarkable streaks in modern sports…Thanks again for the great run and best of luck next year!!!!! GO CANES!

Chris Ostman: Hendersonville, NC: You are still the best team, don’t get down on yourselves! Everyone knows you got robbed, the media hates you so they won’t say it. Your the best, so come back next year and kick everyone’s ass.Don’t even let those officials have a chance to give it to the other the team. The Canes are still #1, go out and prove it!
