Women's Basketball Takes On No. 16 Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, IN-The Miami women’s basketball team ends a three-game BIG EAST road swing with No. 16 Notre Dame Saturday at Noon in Notre Dame, Ind.
The Miami/Notre Dame game is the BIG EAST TV game of the week airing live on FoxSports Net Florida/New England as well as the Madison Square Garden Network.
Miami (10-3, 2-0 in the BIG EAST) rolls into Notre Dame on a seven-game winning streak and 2-0 on the road in BIG EAST play.
The Hurricanes beat Syracuse, 85-68, Wednesday night in Manley Field House.
The Fighting Irish are 9-3 overall and 1-0 in conference after handing West Virginia its first loss of the season Wednesday night in Morgantown.
Notre Dame is 4-1 at home this season, losing its first home game a week ago today (Saturday) to No. 7 Purdue, 71-54.
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 11-2 including a five-game winning streak over the Hurricanes.
Two Miami starters are averaging in double-digits, freshman Tamara James is leading the way with 24.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, while junior Shaquana Wilkins averages 10.4 points and 6.5 boards per game.
Four of Notre Dame’s five starters average double figures with 2002 BIG EAST Rookie of the Year, Jacqueline Batteast leading the way with 15.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
