Women's Basketball Travels To Face Florida

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami women’s basketball team travels to Gainesville, Fla. to face the Florida Gators Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
The Hurricanes (3-1) will face the Gators (4-1) for the first time since the 1999-00 season. Miami has lost the seven meetings with Florida.
The Gators lead the all-time series 27-12, winning the last meeting 85-77 in Coral Gables, Fla.
Miami enters the contest after falling 83-72 to Wisconsin-Green Bay in the tournament title game Saturday afternoon.
Florida beat Long Beach State 72-69 Sunday night in Long Beach, Calif.
Freshman Tamara James (Dania, Fla.) leads Miami averaging 25.8 points and 12.3 rebounds per game.
Freshman Bernice Mosby (Brooksville, Fla.) leads Florida averaging 13.6 points per game.
