Women's Basketball Plays Final Exhibition

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The University of Miami women’s basketball team wraps up its preseason exhibition season Tuesday playing host to the Premier Players at 7 p.m. at Knight Sports Complex. Admission is free.
The Hurricanes are coming off of an 84-79 victory over the Tournament of Champions in the first exhibition game on Nov. 7.
Senior Meghan Saake (Wellington, Fla.) led the Hurricanes with 24 points, while junior Shaquana Wilkins (Plymouth, Fla.) recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Newcomer Tamara James (Dania, Fla.) added 14 points and seven boards in her first collegiate outing.
The Premier Players is made up of WNBA players and former college greats.
The Premier Players are coming off of an 84-79 victory over Florida State Sunday night.
Former Penn State standout and current WNBA Utah Starzz player Andrea Garner led the Players with 18 points in the win over the Seminoles.
Kym Hope who played at Miami from 1995-99 is also a starter for the Premier Players. The Premier Players’ roster also Trisha Stafford-Odom (California/Miami Sol) and Tynesha Lewis (N.C. State/Houston Comets).
