Southern Pines, NC (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami sophomore Tina Miller (Miami, FL/Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) fired a two-round total of 148 and is tied for fifth heading into Tuesday’s final round of the Pine Needles Collegiate being held at Pine Needles Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC.

Miller, who opened with a round of 81 in the morning, posted a tournament low 67 in the afternoon to pull within two-strokes of tournament leaders Abby Spector (North Carolina) and Meghan Adams (North Carolina).

Overall, Miami posted a two-round score of 610 and is in fourth-place. Host North Carolina State leads the tournament after recording a two-round total of 593. North Carolina (596) is second followed by Baylor (607) which is third.

Miami freshman Urd Pedersen (2407 Elverum, Norway) recorded consecutive rounds of 76 and is in a tie for 13th. Junior Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway) is in 19th-place with a two-round total of 154 (80-74).

Final round action will begin Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
