Miller Finishes 12th At Beacon Woods Invitational

Bayonet Point, FL (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami sophomore Tina Miller (Miami, FL) fired a final round 71 to finish in 12th-place at the Beacon Woods Invitational in Bayonet Point, FL.
Miller, who recorded a three-round total of 223 (77-75-71), finished seven strokes back of co-champions Carolin Landmann (Tulane) and Liliana Alvarez (Tulane).
The Hurricanes, who shot 975 (328-329-318) as a team, finished in 13th-place. Tulane won the team championship with a three-round total of 864 (300-284-280). Tulane’s 54-hole score established a Beacon Woods Invitational record.
Miami played without its top player, junior Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway). Hilland, the 18th ranked player in the nation, is competing for Norway at the World Cup in Malaysia. The Hurricanes were also without junior Katie Buschemi who was forced to withdraw due to illness.
The Hurricanes return to action, October 28-30, at the Georgia State Invitational in Atlanta, GA.
