Coral Gables, FL (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Aaron Moser (Bonne Terre, MO) has qualified in the decathlon for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 29-June 1, in Baton Rouge, LA.

The NCAA berth is the second of Moser’s career. Moser earned All-America honors in the decathlon with a ninth-place finish at the 2000 NCAA Championships in Durham, NC. Moser redshirted last season while recovering from surgery to repair a ligament in his right elbow.

Moser, the three-time BIG EAST champion and school-record holder, ranks 14th in the nation in the decathlon heading into the NCAA Championships.

During the indoor season Moser finished second in the heptathlon at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Decathlon competition will begin on Friday, May 31 and conclude on Saturday June 1.
