From John Williams, Columbus, Ohio: First off, I just want to say that I am a die hard Cane living in Buckeye country…I want to know whether or not Miami and Ohio State will play a home and home anytime soon? I loved to rub it in when they played in the Kick-off Classic a few years ago and the Canes dominated.
A: Thanks for your comment. We just announced a two-game series between the Hurricanes and the Buckeyes in the years 2010 and 2011.
From Philip Prisco, Miami, FL: Mr. Dee,
I heard your interview on radio a few day’s before the Washington game about scheduling Pac-10 schools for the national exposure. I think it would be a tremendous boost to schedule USC for a two year series given their location in Los Angeles. Do you ever see this happening? Thanks and continue the great job…….
A: We’ve played Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Washington and UCLA from the Pac 10 in the last 15 years. They were all great games. We’ve not been able to schedule USC. Perhaps in the future that will be possible, but not yet.
Q: From Marvin Flores, Jersey City, New Jersey: What are the chances of restoring the series with Notre Dame?
A: At the present time we have been unable to secure games with Notre Dame.
Q: Scott Fowler, Miami: Congratulations on once again a very fine year in Hurricane sports with the jewel of course being an undefeated and National Championship University of Miami football team.
My question is what if any plans are in the works to renovate and improve Mark Light stadium. I’m a big Hurricane baseball fan and love the light but it needs to be improved and brought up to the standard of other top baseball programs around the country.
GO CANES!!!
A:At the present time we have hired architects to review the needs of Mark Light Field. We’ll be considering their recommendations in the near future. I’m sure fundraising will follow.
