Women's Basketball Hosts No. 18 Boston College

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami women’s basketball team will host No. 18 Boston College in its last regular season game Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Knight Sports Complex on the UM campus.
The Hurricanes enter the contest 16-10 overall and 9-6 in the BIG EAST, while the Eagles are 21-5 overall and 12-3 in the conference.
Miami is looking to secure the No. 5 seed in the BIG EAST, while Boston College is guaranteed the No. 3 spot and a first round buy into the BIG EAST Tournament.
The tournament will begin Saturday March 2 on the Rutgers campus in Piscataway, NJ.
Miami leads the all-time series 13-5, and holds a 6-2 advantage in Coral Gables.
The last time Miami beat a ranked opponent was the Feb. 20 victory over No. 24 Virginia Tech, prior to that victory was the Dec. 9 victory over No. 17 Texas.
Three Miami seniors will be honored prior to the contest, Martha Bodley (St. Croix, Virgin Islands), Kathryn Fowler (New York, NY) and Sheila James (Orlando, Fla.).
Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) continues to lead the Miami offense averaging 14.3 points per game and 16.0 points per game in conference matches.
Amber Jacobs leads the Eagles with 11.4 points per game.
The game will be broadcast live on WVUM (90.5 FM) or via the internet at hurricanesports.com.
The game will be televised on FOX SportsNet Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
