Women's Basketball Travels To Face Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI-The Miami women’s basketball team will play its final road game of the regular season Saturday afternoon travelling to face Providence at 2 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
The Hurricanes (16-9, 9-5) enter the contest in fifth place in the BIG EAST, while the Friars (11-14, 5-9) are in 10th place.
This will be the 20th meeting between the two teams. Miami leads the all-time series 14-5, including a 6-3 advantage in Providence.
The Hurricanes had won six in a row dating back to the 1995-96 season, until the Friars beat Miami in Coral Gables last season.
Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) continues to lead the Miami offense averaging 14.3 points per game.
Dani Trippany leads the Friars with 10.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.The game will be broadcast live on WVUM 90.5-FM.
