Women's Basketball Hosts FIU

Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball team will host cross-town rival FIU Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Knight Sports Complex on the UM campus.
The Hurricanes enter the contest with a 15-8 overall record and an 8-5 mark in the BIG EAST, while the Golden Panthers are 20-5 and 11-1 in the Sun Belt conference.
Miami leads the all-time series 29-17 over FIU. The last time the two teams met Miami fell 78-48 to FIU at the Golden Panther Arena.
Offensively the Hurricanes are led by sophomore forward Chanivia Broussard who averages 13.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
The Hurricanes are coming off a 64-56 road win over Georgetown on Tuesday. Sophomore foward Shaquana Wilkins scored 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead Miami.
The game will air on tape delay on Fox Sports Net Florida Monday, Feb. 18 at 7:00 p.m. The game will air live on WVUM 90.5 FM.
