Women's Basketball Plays Host To Minnesota

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami women’s basketball team will put its five-game winning streak on the line as they play host to Minnesota Sunday at 3 p.m. in Knight Sports Complex.
The Hurricanes (8-2) are coming off of a 75-46 win over Yale to claim the Gatorade Holiday Classic title for the second year in a row.
Minnesota (9-2) has its seven-game win streak broken Friday night falling 88-83 to No. 24 Penn State.
The all-time series is knotted at one-all, with Minnesota winning the last meeting 76-72 during the 1987-88 season.
Junior Meghan Saake continues to lead the Miami offense averaging 13.5 points per game. The Golden Gophers have four players averaging in double-digits with guard Lindsay Whalen leading the way with 21.1 points per game.
